About MatriKiran

Most schools today have chosen to emulate and adapt a variety of western themes for various school events. MatriKiran stands apart. The School focuses on teaching our children about India’s rich heritage and magnificent culture. Children are firmly grounded and connected to our Indian roots amidst a modern setting. I am pleased that my children have the opportunity to grow up as creative and curious individuals… well-rounded, spiritually minded, physically fit and emotionally stable members of society.

My child joined MatriKiran in the 2nd Grade. The way the ICSC board has been taught in the School is marvelous. The balance between keeping it experimental and covering all essential aspects of the board is done so well. I am so happy that my child is actually gaining knowledge and not just mugging. Children learn about all key concepts but aren’t just restricted to the books - They are encouraged to think, to go beyond, to question, and correlate. I see my child growing into a confident and knowledgeable young lady who is also grounded in our Indian values.

Sustainability is a way of life at MatriKiran. All classrooms have large windows which let in lots of natural light. This also makes the rooms airy… children as well as teachers are comfortable even without air conditioning. All this helps in keeping children grounded... they implicitly understand the value of our fast depleting resources, which is the need of the day.

My daughter has taken the 12th boards this year. When she joined the School, it was new and there were no reviews to rely on. The philosophy of the School appealed to us and they have adhered to it fully in all these years. MatriKiran aims to keep the students grounded and see their successes and failures as part of the learning curve. Research is encouraged and rote learning is discouraged. Physical fitness of every student is given prime importance. By conducting daily circle time, the facilitators ensure the mental wellbeing of every student. Annual day and sports meets ensure every single child participates to the best of his/her capabilities. Parent representatives in each grade facilitate a healthy relationship between the parents and the School, diffusing any issues that may arise on either side. MatriKiran is one of the few schools where the Chairperson and the Principal are very hands on. I am a content and happy parent whose daughter has gained the life skills to face the outside world.

I am a very satisfied MatriKiran student parent for the last 6 years... Every child in MatriKiran is in safe and reliable hands. It’s been a great experience with the teachers and the support staff.

MatriKiran High School is a great nurturing place for kids. They include meditation and sports in daily routine and imbibe a strong value system in students. Academics follow ICSE pattern. It is based on more practical learning and subject integrated homework are given on weekends. Overall a great School.

My children have been studying in MatriKiran High School since last 2 years. I have seen a significant change in the development of my kids. They have become more confident, competitive and happy. I see a huge difference in their personalities as well. Since the School covers all the aspects of a child’s development including emotional health and spiritual awareness, I highly recommend this School to all aspiring parents who want their children to bloom, to come out of their inhibitions and to overcome all weaknesses per se. We are associated with MatriKiran School for the last 9 years. My son is in Grade 8 and daughter in Grade 2. My children have found a safe and secure environment in School and they don’t want to miss even for a day. The transition from Junior to Senior School is quite thoughtful. The students are seen to mature with grace. Their internal marking system (which includes metrics like behaviour with fellow classmates, behaviour with teachers, attitude, posture, hygiene, adherence to rules) is an integral part of their evaluation process along with academics. This helps them to groom students into well rounded individuals. The student-teacher ratio is low and they are able to provide personalised attention. The subject teachers are competent and are proactive in flagging things to parents. There are open sessions held monthly where teachers invite parents to exchange feedback. Finally, the way MatriKiran conducted online classes during lockdown and kept children engaged with various activities, without diluting their core philosophy, is praiseworthy.
